■UES Bridle Leather Circle Buckle Belt 84-CBN
The circular buckle is an original UES heavy-duty brass casting. The leather is made from thick North American cowhide. The leather is processed using large equipment found in only two or three factories in Japan, which gives it excellent strength. The tanning process, known as pit tanning, involves immersing the leather in approximately 60 pits (large vats) for two months. After tanning, the highest grade leather is selected and polished by artisans. The characteristic white bloom (oil content) of bridle leather appears as various patterns, creating a unique individuality for each piece. As it is used, the whiteness disappears and the luster increases, making it a one-of-a-kind item for each user. ・The white substance that appears is bloom (wax components impregnated into the leather during the tanning process). The bloom will gradually wear off with use, and the leather will develop a luster. This is proof of the leather's high water resistance and durability, not a defect, so please rest assured. ・Please be aware that the bloom may easily transfer to hands or clothing when first used. ・Leather of this thickness can only be obtained from large adult cattle. With a decreasing number of large individuals currently, this is a very precious material. Since leather is a natural product, there may be differences in thickness depending on the individual and the part of the hide. Also, cattle that have lived long lives inevitably incur scratches and other injuries during their growth process.
