This jacket was custom-ordered by a US soldier stationed in Soc Trang, a city in southern Vietnam, in the late 1960s.
It features an orthodox design with a tiger and the character "福" (fuku, meaning good fortune) on the chest, and a map of Vietnam on the back. The dragons on the sleeves are notably larger and more intricately embroidered than on other Vietnam jackets.
This aged model recreates the faded colors of the fabric and embroidery threads that occur over time.
The rayon-blend cotton twill is processed to give it a supple texture and drape, allowing you to enjoy a vintage-like feel from the moment you wear it.

VIETNAM JACKET AGING MODEL

This is an aged model of the Vietnam jacket that Tailor Toyo has been releasing since 2022.
Instead of the "aging of shades due to fading" seen in Sukajan jackets made of acetate fabric,
this model focuses on "aging of texture" found in vintage items, realistically reproducing the matte texture of fabric and embroidery threads that have faded over time and wear.
