■Tailor Toyo Reversible Acetate Satin Souvenir Jacket USS PRINCETON × MAIKO Embroidered Jacket TT15877-219

Model: Height 175cm Weight 62kg Wearing size L
This souvenir jacket features a rare military pattern, as only a small number were produced at the time, making it a rare find in the vintage market.
The motif on the surface is the US Navy aircraft carrier "Princeton".
From the 77th Task Force mark on the chest and the CV-37 number on the back, it can be determined that this jacket was custom-ordered for the unit during its visit to Japan between 1950 and 1952 during the Korean War.
The body is black and silver, with navy piping on the sleeves and ribs. The deliberate choice to use different tones of dark colors to prevent the overall look from being too cohesive is also a detail inspired by vintage jackets.

The reversible side features a rare geisha pattern in the vintage market.
While patterns combining a Japan map with a geisha exist, a pattern depicting a geisha prominently as the main subject is extremely unusual.
The body is champagne gold and wine red in a "reversed color scheme," with an exquisitely detailed back view of a beautiful geisha, including her carefully tied hair,
her nape and the pulled-back collar of her kimono, and her long, loosely tied obi, all intricately depicted with horizontal embroidery, making this a truly atmospheric piece.

<ACETATE SOUVENIR JACKET>
The most standard type of souvenir jacket, this reversible jacket uses acetate fabric on both sides.
In the immediate post-war period, souvenir jackets were made from acetate, a material with a luxurious feel similar to silk, which was not subject to material controls.
Since it has no padding, it can be worn regardless of the season, and its distinctive drape is also a charming feature.
