This jacket faithfully recreates a piece from the mid-1950s that was newly acquired in recent years. The design, commonly known as "Tiger Head," focuses on a tiger's face, but unlike typical designs, this upward-looking composition, gazing heavenward, is extremely rare even among vintage pieces.
The tiger stripes on the face are also distinctive for their complex pattern. By making the black stripes appear like shadows, the three-dimensional effect of the embroidery is further emphasized.
This is a masterpiece with a tricolor scheme of blue and silver body with red ribs, accented by vivid embroidery.

The reversible side features a Japan Map design. Although there is no "JAPAN" text, the map of Japan and place names are largely depicted on an orange body.
However, by deliberately using similar colors for the embroidery threads to blend them in, the blue of the sleeves and Mt. Fuji is made to stand out.
Also, the chest patterns are the same on both sides because they were made with the same embroidery mold at the time.
Upon closer inspection, it can be seen that different colored threads are used for the embroidery to match the colors of the front and back body, which is also a specification based on vintage items.

＜ACETATE SOUVENIR JACKET＞
This is the most standard type of souvenir jacket, a reversible type made of acetate fabric on both sides.
At the time of souvenir jacket's birth, acetate, which had a luxurious feel similar to silk and was not subject to material control, was used.
Since it has no padding, it can be worn regardless of the season, and its unique drape is also an attractive feature.
