 ＜Model: Height 175cm Weight 62kg wearing size 38＞ This is the first time we've offered Hawaiian workwear in hickory stripe. It recreates an item issued to railway workers of the Hilo Railroad Company, one of the Hawaiian railroads that developed long ago as a means of transportation for plantation workers on the island of Hawaii and for transporting harvested pineapples and sugarcane. This work coat is also a replica of Hawaiian hickory-stripe workwear, based on documents from a train museum near Honokaʻa, a small rural town on Hawaii Island, and information gathered from people involved. Hickory was also widely used in the later period of Hawaiian railway history. ＜HAWAIIAN WORK WEAR＞ After Japanese immigrants arrived in Hawaii, the first place they found employment was the sugarcane plantations. Railroads had been laid there since ancient times, serving as a means to transport harvested sugarcane to sugar factories and connecting their living quarters with the plantations. In unraveling the history of Hawaiian workwear, Sun Surf focused on the "Hilo Railroad Company," a real railway company that existed in the past. Based on historical documents, they recreated its unique specifications. Weight: 950g  Sun Surf is Toyo Enterprise's brand specializing in aloha shirts. All Sun Surf aloha shirts are replicas of designs that actually existed as vintage items, reproducing their original texture. This product creation is only possible with their extensive in-house collection and know-how that cannot be imitated by others. It is a brand that can be widely recommended, from collectors to those wearing aloha shirts for the first time.
