This 1953 model is made of 1.1mm thick horsehide leather, arranged based on Sugar Cane's classic 1953 MODEL denim jacket.
Brown leather, tanned with astringent, is repeatedly coated with black aniline dye to achieve a deep color.
It is also waxed for water resistance, and can be expected to develop a unique luster and age beautifully over time.
Horsehide has fewer cutting restrictions than 28-inch wide denim, so a distinctive feature is that sizes 42 inches and above have no seams on the side of the back body.
The lining uses a warm striped blanket.
