 Samurai's standard series has been renewed from the 2020 Autumn/Winter season. While inheriting the proud denim fabric and details, the silhouette has been further adjusted and reviewed. The back pocket stitching is a new design inspired by a soaring seagull, intentionally using thread of the same color as the body, called "Kagemusha stitching" (dark blue thread). The red tab has been removed, and a new label "navy base with SAMURAI in red letters" is attached to the left end of the right back pocket opening. ・Otokogi 15oz Katana-mimi Selvedge Denim ・Sho-gyo-mujo (All things are impermanent) Slake ・Iron sunrise buttons ・Copper銭型 (Zenigata) rivets ・Exclusive leather patch and flasher ・New woven label ・Regular straight Yarn: Made with US Texas cotton, which inherently has a rough characteristic. Short staple cotton (cotton waste) is added to further increase the unevenness of the fibers. When this is spun into yarn, it results in an irregular and rough unevenness. Furthermore, the yarn is twisted more strongly than usual, increasing the stiffness of the fabric. In general spinning, various types of cotton are blended throughout the year to create a stable single yarn, but this time, only Texas cotton is used ("single-blended cotton"), which emphasizes its unique texture. Both warp and weft yarns are 6 count. Dyeing: The darkest possible shade achievable with 100% pure indigo. Similar to previous Samurai original denims, the white core of the yarn is thick, making it prone to strong fading (atari). Weaving: This time, tension is applied, and the yarn is driven in to the maximum extent. As a result, the fabric has an exceptionally strong firmness (body). Due to specification changes by the manufacturer for some standard model jeans,
there is a mix of stock without back pocket stitching and SAMURAI woven labels, and
old stock with stitching and woven labels.
You cannot choose when ordering, so please be aware of this in advance.
