■REDWING WEEKENDER CHUKKA STYLE No.3610 in Mojave Sandstone Roughout

The Weekender series, with its classic stitch-down construction, has been updated.
With meticulous details and a lightweight feel, these shoes are perfect for summer getaways and activities.
The traditional pattern has been updated, with the chukka now featuring a one-piece quarter panel. The newly adopted No. 64 last has enhanced both the aesthetics and fit of the Weekender.
In pursuit of sustainability and innovation, we partnered with OrthoLite in the USA to create a new footbed that incorporates 30% sustainable materials, surpassing the comfort and rebound of traditional materials like Poron. The insole, with its excellent cushioning, guarantees comfortable wear all day long.
The stitch-down construction is one of the world's oldest shoemaking methods, dating back to the 17th century. The edges of the upper leather flare out over the midsole like the brim of a hat, and the midsole is stitched and secured to the upper. Like the Goodyear welt construction, the stitch-down method allows for resoling.
The leather used is Mojave, a high-quality waterproof roughout leather designed to withstand extremely harsh conditions. In addition to its unique and distinctive texture, it offers excellent water repellency, stain resistance, and durability. The Sandstone Mojave, new for SS26, is a neutral-colored leather with a calm, dusty tone that evokes nature. Its versatile color matches any outfit.

Please note: The instep is tighter than usual due to the insole and construction. It is often recommended to go up half a size.
Please note: For sole replacement of the Weekender series, we generally recommend "outsole replacement."
"Full sole replacement" is also possible, but there are limits to the upper leather allowance due to the stitch-down construction.
Also, for full sole replacement, the color of the outstitch (welt thread) may be white, and the midsole may be made of a different material.
Please understand that we cannot accommodate customization to other soles.

■Mojave Sandstone Roughout
Mojave leather is a waterproof roughout leather. It is treated to prevent water penetration while maintaining breathability (meaning that even if the napped surface of the leather gets wet, moisture will not seep through the leather to the inside).
It is designed to maintain suppleness without the need for oil and does not contain oil to ensure breathability. Therefore, to maintain breathability, please do not use oil-based shoe care products on this leather. For care, use the rubber bar (eraser type) included in the "Roughout/Nubuck Cleaner Kit" to remove surface dirt, then use the accompanying brush to nap the leather surface. Although it is waterproof leather, if you wear it on rainy days, you can enhance its water repellency and prevent dirt on the napped surface by spraying "Leather Protector" beforehand. Also, regular brushing is effective in preventing dirt and mold on your boots. Please use a Red Wing "Brush" with long horsehair, which is highly effective in sweeping away dust.
