■JELADO Age of Longing Black tag 407EXX JP94407ED 15oz Denim Jacket Early 1st Model T-back Black Tag
![]() Model Height 175 cm Weight 60 kg Wearing L size "LASTRESORT DENIM," JELADO's greatest masterpiece to date, has been further developed to create a wilder, more vintage-inspired denim this time. This is JELADO's first 1ST TYPE denim jacket, featuring a black tag. We changed the fabric from the 1ST model, which was first produced this season with a raw white tag, and reproduced it with black tag indigo. The LASTRESORT DENIM black tag is sewn on the inside of the pocket, reproduced from denim that was dismantled and analyzed from DEADSTOCK XX, and is a special 15oz denim created with a new approach different from the white tag. The characteristic features of the 1st type, such as the single pocket with flap, single-sided tab, five buttons, inner cuff buttons, and back strap, have been faithfully reproduced. When dividing the 1st type into early and late periods, the early period features a needle-pierced buckle and the box stitching securing the pleats is offset from the button height. This jacket similarly reproduces the early period with an offset button and stitch height and a needle-pierced back strap. Since the black tag was created as a fabric from before the 1940s, it takes a similar era approach. Compared to the 2nd Type, the collar attachment is wider apart, and the sleeve attachment forms a T-shape when laid flat, which has been followed to make it comfortable to wear. Similar to our own vintage items, the felling seams use 20-count thread and the plain seams use 30-count thread. The leather patch uses horsehide, the single-sided embroidered rayon tab, the original iron buttons with plating, and the all-copper original rivets are all carefully crafted. Due to production specifications, sizes L and above, where the fabric width is insufficient, will feature a T-back design. <LASTRESORT BLACK TAG> Jelado's company-defining denim development resulted in the white tag. Among its mission to reproduce XX, if there's one clear process we intentionally avoided discussing, it's the "color." This LAST RESORT black tag was created to reproduce the texture and color of denim woven under conditions where spinning technology was less developed and yarn quality was poorer than today, to achieve a vintage-like color. We used the same raw cotton for the warp and weft as the white tag (warp: EMOT, weft: California Pima) to create the yarn. However, we intentionally manipulated the warp to easily create slubs, resulting in stronger unevenness. By creating strong unevenness, we can achieve longer vertical fading. Looking at the vintage items we targeted, the dullness or prominence of the weft color was striking. The cotton color of that era looked more like a yellowish unbleached cotton than pure white. We decided to create the yarn, dye it, and then weave the fabric, incorporating this depth of color. By changing the dyeing factory from the white tag, the color is completely different. Since the rope height and dyeing process differ among dyeing factories, the color rendition also changes. Due to these differences in processes, the white tag became 14oz and the black tag became 15oz, changing the fabric weight. Furthermore, by intentionally deep dyeing it 8 times, a deeper, richer blue denim was achieved. We decided to use this denim, with its deep color and strong, uneven, wild texture, as the "LASTRESORT DENIM Black Tag" for models seeking a more heritage feel. In the future, this denim will be used for denim wear models from before the 1940s. While it will have a wilder appearance and fabric touch, after just two days of wear, it will transform into a soft, smooth, stress-free feel, similar to the white tag. ![]() JELADO was founded in 2004.
