■BUZZ RICKSON'S Lot No. BR42593 / WILLIAM GIBSON COLLECTION BLACK M-1943
![]() Model: Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, wearing 30 inches The Army adopted trousers to be worn as a set with the M-43 field jacket, which was developed to suit all environments. The material used for the original M-43 trousers is back sateen, which is a heavy cotton sateen fabric used on the reverse side, similar to the field jacket. It features an adjustable tab around the waist, belt loops, and suspender buttons, allowing for various ways of wearing. Tabs at the hems allow them to be fastened with buttons for a jodhpur style, preventing outside air, dirt, and dust from entering. ※Due to the belt attached to the hem of this product, hemming is not possible. Please be aware of this beforehand. <WILLIAM GIBSON COLLECTION> The BLACK MA-1, first produced by Buzz Rickson's for their 10th anniversary, was a collaboration with William Gibson. In his globally renowned novel "Pattern Recognition," the main character wears a "Buzz Rickson's Black MA-1." From that novel, the actual Buzz Rickson's Black MA-1 was born. While the official color for the MA-1 adopted by the US Air Force in the 1950s was originally sage green, a genuine BLACK MA-1 with black color and military-standard parts and materials based on mil-specs did not exist in the world. Therefore, it was well-received and became a hot topic among users seeking authenticity in the market. Even if each material is specified to be black, the dyeing process varies for each material. When assembled into a single jacket, subtle color differences become apparent, clearly showing how many different materials make up a flight jacket. Weight: 890g ![]() Buzz Rickson's is a military brand from Toyo Enterprises, which also owns vintage American casual brands like Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company's relationship with the military dates back to its predecessor, Kosho Co., Ltd., which supplied souvenir jackets (such as sukajan) to US military bases. In 1993, they released their first flight jacket. Since then, their faithfully reproduced military wear, much like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, has consistently been of perfect quality.
