■Buzz Rickson's UTILITY SHIRTS N-3 "CONTRACT NTsx-83000" BR29659

The N-3 Utility Shirt was adopted by the U.S. Navy in the 1940s.
It was classified into the N-3 Uniform setup category for combat and work, and consisted of four items: N-3 jacket, N-3 trousers, N-3 cap, and N-3 shirt.
While the other three items were made of herringbone twill, the shirt used light-ounce cotton poplin fabric, considering its use in subtropical regions.
Details such as reinforced gussets on both sides of the hem and fine gathers in the back yoke and cuffs indicate that it was a shirt from an era when items were carefully crafted over time.

Buzz Rickson's is a military brand from Toyo Enterprise, which owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company's relationship with the military is long-standing, with roots in supplying souvenir jackets (such as sukajan) to U.S. military bases during its predecessor company, Kosho Shokai. In 1993, they released their first flight jacket. Since then, their succession of reproduced military wear, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, are all perfectly crafted.
