The Type B-15 was adopted on April 7, 1944, as an improved version of the B-10. While the predecessor B-10 had flap-covered patch pockets sewn vertically, the B-15 changed to slash pockets cut into the body. This made it possible to reach into the pockets even when wearing a parachute harness. The pocket bags were also made of warm corduroy fabric. The front zipper features a storm flap for enhanced warmth and is offset to the right. When the sleeve is turned inside out, the armpit and elbow areas are cut away and lined with rayon-cotton fabric for smooth movement. With a large collar made of sheepskin, a cotton outer shell, and an alpaca pile lining, the B-15 established the basic form of an intermediate-weight jacket that offered ease of movement without compromising warmth. Weight: 1370g  Buzz Rickson's is a military brand of Toyo Enterprises, which also owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company has a long history with military wear, tracing its roots back to its predecessor, Kosho Shokai, which supplied products such as souvenir jackets (Sukajan, etc.) to US military bases. In 1993, the company launched its first flight jacket. Since then, the military wear it has faithfully reproduced, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, are all perfectly crafted.
