The denim hat developed by the US Army in 1934 had a modified version where the brim was cut off and reformed into a cap. Since soldiers modified it personally, it is very rare to find an actual one. The inner seams are reinforced with herringbone tape. The blue denim version adopted in 1919 can sometimes be found in the vintage market, and its existence is known. However, the brown denim version was produced before the blue denim, so the number of existing pieces is extremely small, and its existence is not widely known. It uses a special fabric with brown natural indigo for the warp and ecru and black melange yarn for the weft, which was intended to make dirt such as dust less noticeable. ◎Size◎

The company has a long history with the military, stemming from its predecessor, Kosho Shokai, which supplied products such as souvenir jackets (Sukajan, etc.) to US military bases. In 1993, they released their first flight jacket. Since then, the military wear they have successively reproduced, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, are all perfectly crafted.
