This hoodie, the classic item BR-3010, is styled after sweatshirts made in America from the 1950s to the 1970s. Each piece is carefully finished by artisans using a rare, old-style 4-needle sewing machine, "Union Special," which can only sew 20 pieces a day. This sewing method, called "flat seamer," results in flat and durable seams (on the inside). However, flat seamers cannot be mass-produced. Nevertheless, BARNS stubbornly adheres to this method. The fabric, made with a "small gauge knitting machine," has no seams around the torso, commonly known as a "round body." Because it is knitted slowly from top to bottom in a cylindrical shape, it creates a unique texture. While production efficiency is certainly not high, it is understandable that many fans support this commitment to craftsmanship. A genuine body with a perfect silhouette. The kangaroo pocket is also made with flat seamer stitching, giving a sense of unity to this simple yet practical zip hoodie.
