The sweatshirt series named "Super Heavyweight" features 500g of brushed back fabric per square yard (approx. 90cm square), making it one of the thickest items among the many sweatshirts BARNS OUTFITTERS has offered. This series, which first appeared last year to great acclaim, is back again this year with updates. The updates include pigment dyeing and bio-washing, resulting in an item with a strong vintage feel. The design is inspired by souvenir items from a local restaurant with Mikey the marlin as its mascot. A Fictional Local Restaurant Mikey's Generals is a restaurant indispensable to the locals, where they gather night after night. The mascot of this popular fish restaurant is Mikey the marlin. Mikey, who skillfully holds a spatula with his small fins and even works in the kitchen, probably doesn't realize he's cooking his fellow fish. The design is inspired by a souvenir item with a simple front accent and an impactful back. For the print, gray uses wash-out, sax uses pigment, and brown uses cracked rubber. The generously sized armholes allow for a relaxed and comfortable fit. The gusset under the armpits adds a vintage touch. The ribs on the cuffs and hem are set at an exquisite tension, balancing the original sportiness and smartness of the sweatshirt. Colors other than gray are pigment-dyed, where the color is applied to the fabric surface and then washed to reproduce the faded look characteristic of vintage clothing. Repeated washing will further fade the color, allowing you to enjoy its aging. The thick brushed back fabric can be used for a long time from early autumn to spring.
