Reproducing a very rare vintage item.
It is knitted using an old-style Azuma knitting machine to create a seamless body (no side seams).
Using this knitting machine results in a soft, plump material with excellent elasticity and a unique mochi-like texture.
The old-style Azuma knitting machine produces a looped back fabric characterized by a vintage feel and lightness.
This knitting machine is one of those from the 1970s, which transitioned from hanging knitting machines to innovative knitting machines, and there are few remaining, making it a rare knitting machine.
Because it knits slowly, the daily output is small, allowing for a texture similar to that of a hanging knitting machine, characterized by an uneven surface and a plump feel.
Regarding brushing, while open-width fabric can be brushed in one process, seamless brushing requires four brushing operations on a flattened tube,
The entire circumference is brushed, which simply takes four times the effort. It is finished with pre-brushing before dyeing.
Following vintage sewing, it is mostly double-needle stitched, but the cuffs are knitted ribs, and the cuff ribs are attached in one go from the double-needle stitching of the underarm seam.
This item reproduces a piece that would be difficult to obtain in vintage today, faithfully recreating the original sewing techniques.

Following the previous work, this item features an original WOLF MAN design incorporating elements of horror films.
This design was inspired by movie posters of the time, and the unique atmosphere is expressed through flock printing.
While conventional screen printing allows multiple sheets to be printed simultaneously on a single line, this print is done
by skilled craftsmen, one sheet at a time. It is not a mass-production machine, so it takes many times longer than usual,
and the time spent on cleaning before and after the work and setting up the equipment means that almost no other place can do this print.
And in the vintage market, it is now a highly valued item, trading for around 50,000 yen.

JELADO was founded in 2004. Based on "AMERICAN VINTAGE" born over half a century ago, they elevate these into contemporary fashion. All products are manufactured in Japan. This is because Japan is the only country in the world that can accurately capture the subtle nuances and intentions envisioned during the planning stage.
